In the days when Janak Puri was taking shape and very few facilities were available, farsighted, Mr. T. P. AGGARWAL visualised the need of an educational institution in this area. It was in January, 1975 that a modest beginning was made and with good administration and healthy staff the school grew at a rapid pace. The expansion in the enrolment of the students, enlargement of the school building and upgradation from Secondary to Senior Secondary was very satisfying. Today, it has nearly 3000 students on the roll with nearly 150 staff members.

Since reading forms an essential part of a child’s growth therefore to inculcate the reading habits among the children and to create life long readers Book Week / Book Fairs are organized on regular basis, wherein children get an opportunity to browse through the interesting collection on display and to select books of their choice.

To read is to grow. Owing a book is a passion. Books are the literary delight. Reading makes you a complete person.

Book Fair 2011

An exhibition by the Nation Book Trust was organized in the school from 14^th to 19^th November 2011 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pt. Nehru. Books ranging from various subjects and catering to the tastes of every age group were displayed. The aim was to encourage and inculcate the love of reading among the students.
