World Animal Welfare Day - (October 2023)

World Animal Welfare Day is celebrated every year on October 4, a day of action recognized worldwide for animal rights and welfare. The theme for World Animal Day 2023 is ‘Great or Small, Love Them All’. Class VI-F presented a special assembly on World Animal Welfare Day in which they spread the message to come together to think about and take action for the well-being of animals all around us. The students sang a melodious song- “I love my pet” and also presented an ‘Animal Dance’. They took a pledge to be the voices of the voiceless, the protectors of the defenseless.

International Day of Girl Child is celebrated annually on 11th October to empower and amplify the voices of girls around the world. To celebrate this day, students of Class IV-F presented a special assembly wherein they enacted a short skit depicting the importance of providing equal opportunities to everyone, irrespective of their gender. They stressed on the importance, power and potential of girls to change the world, both as empowered change makers of today and as leaders of tomorrow, through encouragement from their surroundings. Students rhapsodically presented a poem and pledged to embrace gender equality.

Teachers’ Day in India holds a special place in the hearts of students and educators alike. The history of this celebratory occasion traces back to the exceptional life and achievements of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Every year, India celebrates September 5, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, as National Teachers’ Day. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a great educationist, philosopher and former President of India.

Teachers inspire, empower, and shape the lives of students in profound ways. They ignite the spark of curiosity, instill knowledge and guide us towards success.

On this occasion, the students of Class XI-C presented a special assembly wherein they sung a melodious song expressing warm gratitude and admiration for teachers. They also paid tribute to prominent teachers of India by reflecting upon the remarkable contributions made by them in the lives of students. A heartfelt poem and a speech were dedicated to all the teachers to make this day joyful and memorable.

On the occasion of this auspicious festival, students of Class IV-C presented a special assembly highlighting the significance of the bonds beyond blood ties. The assembly started off with students tying Rakhi on Lord Ganesha's wrist and seeking his divine blessings. They presented a beautiful enactment that emphasized the importance of cherishing the people who love, protect and care for us and followed it up with a mesmerizing dance performance. The assembly aimed to remind students to express gratitude and reciprocate the love they receive from people they often take for granted like our house helps, security guards etc. The key message was to nurture these relationships and create a positive and supportive environment for one another.

The birthday of Enid Mary Blyton, a very famous children’s writer, is celebrated every year on August 11. To pay tribute and to enlighten the children about her impressive work, the students of Class IV- B presented a special assembly. They showcased the stories of Famous Five and Secret Seven by presenting their characters. Students gracefully danced to the theme song of the story, Famous Five, and generated curiosity among everyone to read the books written by this renowned writer. They concluded the assembly by reciting a poem about her, admiring her work and passion. They even displayed the book covers of popular books written by her.
National Sports Day - (August 2023)

National Sports Day is observed around the country on 29 August to raise the awareness about the value of sports and daily activities in our life. This day marks the birth anniversary of Indian hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand who brought glory to the country by winning three Olympic gold medals.

To celebrate this day, students of Class II-A presented a special assembly wherein they conveyed the message that sports develops a sense of friendliness and team spirit. They also took a pledge and motivated everyone to engage in any sports activitiy of their choice and make sports the way of life. To pay tribute and honour the achievements of India's sports champions, few students dressed up as their favourite sports stars and spoke motivational quotes about them. The assembly culminated on a musical note with a foot-tapping patriotic song wherein students sang and danced to their heart's content. Our Principal ma'am appreciated the efforts put in by the students and encouraged everyone to actively participate in sports and other physical activities.
World Nature Conservation Day - (28 July 2023)

World Nature Conservation Day is observed on 28th July, every year to create awareness among people about the importance of the natural environment and its resources.

To commemorate this occasion, students of Class V-F presented a special assembly. They showcased an amusing skit called 'Guardians of the Earth' to spread awareness about the need to protect the flora and fauna of our planet. Students also presented some power-packed dance performances and enthralled the audience with their moves.

They encouraged everyone to use sustainable resources and become responsible citizens of the planet. They laid stress on the need to safeguard our planet and its precious biodiversity for the well-being of current and future generations.
Kargil Vijay Diwas - (26 July 2023)

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, students of Class V-E presented a captivating enactment of the Kargil War. They sang soulful renditions of various songs and paid homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the protection of our country. They danced gracefully to the tunes of different patriotic songs and pulled at the heart strings of the audience. The assembly culminated with an interesting quiz wherein the students answered various questions about the Kargil War. It also provided the students with an opportunity to appreciate the sacrifices made by our valiant armed forces.
International Day of Families - (15 May 2023)

The International Day of Families, which is observed on 15 May every year, was established by the United Nations in 1993 as a way to raise awareness of issues faced by families throughout the world and highlight the important role that families hold in communities.

Students of IX-C presented an assembly showcasing the importance of families. This year UNO gave a theme for this day as ‘Families and New Technologies’. Based on the morals of Vasudeva Kutumbkam, which means that the whole world is our family and we should respect all, students presented a beautiful dance drama to show why families are important and precious. The assembly aimed to raise awareness about the various issues that surround families and to increase the knowledge of the processes that affect families, including social, demographic and economic factors.

Every year on May 8, the world observes World Red Cross Day and Red Crescent Day which marks the birth anniversary of the founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the recipient of the first Nobel Peace Prize “Henry Dunant”.

To celebrate his spirit of humanitarianism, build community resilience, strengthen localization and promote dignity around the world, a special assembly was conducted by the students of Class XI A on the theme ‘Everything we do comes from the Heart’. The students presented a short skit aimed at initiating social dialogue to help those affected by famine, various natural disasters, war, as well as pandemic diseases. This was followed by an enthralling singing and dance performance showcasing the objectives and values of the Red Cross foundation. An appeal to humankind was made through John Lennon’s song 'Imagine'.

International Labour Day is celebrated every year on May 1 to honour the contributions of workers to society. It is a day to recognise the value of labour, the dignity of work and the achievements of the labour movement.

A special assembly was conducted on the occasion of International Labour Day by the students of Class XII-F. Students showcased the origin of the movement, portrayed the role of various Indian as well as international labour activists so as to show solidarity with workers around the world. They also took a pledge to reflect values and dignity towards the labour and their work.

International Dance Day is celebrated on April 29th every year to promote the glorious art form of dance around the world. To mark this occasion, students of Class III-B presented a special assembly wherein they spoke about the numerous health benefits of dancing. Students donned vibrant outfits and showcased different dance styles like Salsa, Ballet, Chirmi and Freestyle. Their energetic performances compelled the audience to shake their legs and groove to the tunes of peppy numbers.

Charlotte Bronte was born on April 21, 1816 in West Riding Yorkshire. She was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Bronte sisters, whose novels became the classics of English Literature.

Students of Class VIII-B presented an assembly celebrating the birthday of Ms. Charlotte Bronte, wherein they presented an interview of the writer along with reporters asking some interesting questions about her life. To pay a tribute to her, an extract from her very famous novel Jane Eyre (chapter 24) was read out by the students. The assembly was indeed a learning experience for the students.
