ST. MARK'S SENIOR SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL JANAK PURI, NEW DELHI - 58 In the days when Janak Puri was taking shape and very few facilities were available, farsighted, Mr. T. P. AGGARWAL visualised the need of an educational institution in this area. It was in January, 1975 that a modest beginning was made and with good administration and healthy staff the school grew at a rapid pace. The expansion in the enrolment of the students, enlargement of the school building and upgradation from Secondary to Senior Secondary was very satisfying. Today, it has nearly 3000 students on the roll with nearly 150 staff members.

Hall of Fame Journey to NASA - National Astronomy Olympiad (NAO) - (February & April 2013) National Astronomy Olympiad (NAO) was organized by Orange Education Pvt. Ltd. in which about 1 lakh students participated. The final round was conducted in the month of February 2013 through on-line medium in which Debotrinya Sur (VI-C) of our school secured second position, and was selected for the free trip to NASA thus bringing a great honour to the school. Moreover a Felicitation function was organized by the Orange Education at hotel Lalit on 20 April 2013 in which Ms. Anjali Aggarwal (Director St. Mark’s School, Janak Puri) was the guest of honour and was accompanied by Mr. Vineet Joshi (Chairman of CBSE) who was the Chief Guest for the evening. Moreover, the teacher-in-charge Mr. Dubey along with the Principal Ms. Rama Sethi were also felicitated. Rishabh Arora won the first prize in Onsite Zonal - (28 & 29 September 2012) Kyrion (Digital Securities) in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur organized an event Chakravyuh (The hunt for India’s Best IT Security Expert). Rishabh Arora of class XI of our school secured I Position in ‘Onsite Zonal Of Mini Chakravyuh 2013’ India’s biggest IT Security event at MSIT, New Delhi on 28th & 29th September 2012. Student of the year Award 2012 The student of the year award for the year 2012 was given to Guneet Sethi of class X F for his All round achievement By Times Of India. He is awarded with a Trophy. A Merit Certificate and a gift voucher of Rs. 1000 by Lifestyle. BEST STUDENT TROPHY by NIE was given to GUNEET SETHI (X-F) Student of the year Award 2011 The student of the year award for the year 2011 was given to Anant of class X D for his All round achievement By Times Of India. He is awarded with a Trophy. A Merit Certificate and a gift voucher of Rs. 1000 by Lifestyle. BEST STUDENT TROPHY by NIE was given to ANANT (X-D) Student of the year Award 2010 BEST STUDENT TROPHY by NIE was given to ANURAG MISHRA BEST STUDENT TROPHY by HT PACE was given to RISHABH BHATNAGAR for their consistent hardwork and positive attitude.   National Singing Talent Hunt (2012) Sakshi Taneja of class VII of our school bagged II prize at The National Level in Solo Singing Competition organized by Sangam kala Group – ‘Surtarang’ (National singing Talent Hunt)   Click to Enlarge   Aptitude Test by Career Launcher (23 September 2010) Career Launcher organized an "Aptitude Test" on 23rd September 2010 in our school. Prizes were distributed on 31st October 2010 at the centre at Dwarka Mor, Delhi. Public School, Janak Puri participated in inter school collage making competition where more than 45 schools from Delhi and NCR were present. The event was organized on Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Divas – 2010. Srishty Saxena of Class V was awarded II Prize by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Shiela Dixit at the State Level function organized by TERI group held on 25th August 2010 at Siri Fort Auditorium.   Following are the scholarship holders of class XII who scored more than 80% marks in class X as well as in class XI. Zonal Sanskrit Slokocharan Pratiyogita 2012 Students of X-F participated in Zonal Competition of Sanskrit Slokocharan and won First Prize (cash Rs. 1800/-). At the National Level our school stood second (cash Prize of Rs. 3000/-) amongst the 15 Zonal finalists. In this regard Siddharth Jain along with Commerce Teachers Rucika Paul and Vandana Shah were felicitated for scoring 95% Marks in Business Studies and Accountancy. CTA also conducted Commerce Olympiad for students of classes XI and XII in the month of November 2009.
