In the days when Janak Puri was taking shape and very few facilities were available, farsighted, Mr. T. P. AGGARWAL visualised the need of an educational institution in this area. It was in January, 1975 that a modest beginning was made and with good administration and healthy staff the school grew at a rapid pace. The expansion in the enrolment of the students, enlargement of the school building and upgradation from Secondary to Senior Secondary was very satisfying. Today, it has nearly 3000 students on the roll with nearly 150 staff members.

Examination System & Evaluation
PRIMARY (I-V)

There are no formal examinations for Primary Students. Promotion to the next class is on the basis of general performance in the class which includes classwork, projects, oral activities etc. Students are encouraged to be regular in their studies.

MIDDLE (VI-VIII)

4 Formative Assessments (FA’s) of 20 marks each, spread over the academic year.

Summative Assessment 1 (SA1) in the month of September of 60 marks for each subject.

Summative Assessment 2 (SA2) in the month of March of 60 marks for each subject.

Weightage of each Assessment is FA1 (10 marks) + FA2 (10 Marks) + SA1 (30 Marks) + FA3 (10 Marks) + FA4 (10 Marks) + SA2 (30 Marks) = 100 Marks.

SECONDARY (IX-X)

4 Formative Assessments (FA’s) of 20 marks each spread over the academic year.

Summative Assessment 1 (SA1) in the month of September of 90 marks for each subject.

Summative Assessment 2 (SA2) in the month of March of 90 marks for each subject.

Weightage of each assessment is FA1 (10 marks) + FA2 (10 marks) + SA1 (30 Marks) + FA3 (10 Marks) + FA4 (10 Marks) + SA 2 (30 marks) = 100 Marks.

SENIOR SECONDARY (Class XI)

Mid Term exam in the month of September of 100 marks for each subject and its weightage will be 25%.

Final Term Exam in the month of March will be of 100 marks for each subject (Syllabus – Full course) and its weightage will be 75%

SENIOR SECONDARY (Class XII)

2 Revision Tests of 20 marks each.

Mid Term exam in the month of September of 100 marks for each subject.

Mock Exams in the month of December of 100 marks for each subject.

Pre Board Exam in the month of January of 100 marks for each subject.

 
General Rules for Classes IX & XI

Maximum Marks for each subject is 100 and a student will need 33 marks in total (33% in both Theory and Practical, wherever applicable) to pass.

In class IX if a student gets E1 or E2 grade in any subject/subjects he gets one chance to improve the same.

Compartment will be allowed in 1 subject in class XI.

Students of class X will appear for School Exam and the result will be declared by CBSE.

Students of class XII will appear for AISSCE conducted by CBSE.
