ST. MARK'S SENIOR SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL

In the days when Janak Puri was taking shape and very few facilities were available, farsighted, Mr. T. P. AGGARWAL visualised the need of an educational institution in this area. It was in January, 1975 that a modest beginning was made and with good administration and healthy staff the school grew at a rapid pace. The expansion in the enrolment of the students, enlargement of the school building and upgradation from Secondary to Senior Secondary was very satisfying. Today, it has nearly 3000 students on the roll with nearly 150 staff members.

According to Ms. Rama Sethi the Principal the basic premise of education should be developing the spiritual and rational side of students. The other pillars of growth being persistence, patience and purity of purpose. In her endeavor she is ably assisted by the Vice Principal Ms. Alka Kher and Educational Supervisor Ms. Anupam Ganesh and Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia. The teaching staff comprises of well trained, experienced members in all fields- Science, Commerce, Humanities, Computers, Sports, Music, Dance and Art.

Ms. Alka Kher- Vice Principal
Ms. Alka Kher joined this organization in 1983. In the year 1990 she became Incharge of Junior Section. Her hard work and excellent performance paid and she was promoted as Head Mistress of the Primary Section in the year 1996. As a Head Mistress through her qualities of head and heart, persuasive power, innovations and educational concepts encouraged the teachers towards excellence. In the year 2007 she was promoted as Vice Principal. Hardworking and maturing into a real educationist she is contributing her best in the growth of the school. More . . .

Ms. Anupam Ganesh - Educational Supervisor (Middle Wing)
Ms. Anupam Ganesh joined St. Mark’s Janakpuri in 1993 as a science teacher. Manifesting all her talents while adding achievements in many areas, she has always tried to bring value to her work. Ms. Anupam marked St. Mark’s name on the globe and represented India when she participated in the 1^st Health Jumboore of South East Asian Countries organized by WHO at Maldives taking with her students from different schools of India. She has organized various health related and other programs in school. She firmly believes in instilling good values in children as solid foundation of character is imperative in becoming responsible youngsters. As the educational supervisor she feels that a good teacher needs to liberate each learner to unlock his inhibitions starting in the primary level itself in order to develop and utilize one’s own mental intelligence to do the best in life.

For her - EXCELLENT EDUCATION IS LIFE ITSELF.

Educational Supervisor (Primary Wing) - Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia
Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia has been a passionate and commited science teacher, associated with St. Mark’s School Meerabagh since 1999. In May 2008 she was part of teacher’s exchange programme to Grums, in Sweden, Europe which not only helped in exchange of teaching methodologies but also resulted in initiation of various online global projects for students.

Being an army officer’s wife she has travelled extensively and served in various prestigious schools all over the country. Before joining St. Mark’s Janakpuri as Educational Supervisor (Primary Wing), she served as Principal in Assam Rifles High School, Kohima, Nagaland.

During her entire journey of teaching ,she has been a friend, philosopher and guide to her students and motivated them to excel in life. She firmly believes in child centered education and feels that personality development and confidence building are the important facets of primary education. According to her, the love, trust and faith of teachers can motivate and channelize young minds to dream big, aspire and blossom into good human beings.

»	The School Counselor is available in the school on all working days. Parents can pay a visit to the Guidance Counselor with a prior appointment in connection with any problems concerning their child.
