WE CAN VOLLEY TOO  An Inter School Volleyball Championship was held at the Zonal level by Delhi Admin. from 03.10.2006 to 11.10.2006. We won the championship in both Boys and Girls Sub Jr. categories : The winners were:  Girls: Sanya Chugh, Mehar, Aastha, Palak, Sweta, Saloni, Rashi  Boys: Aatish, Akshay, Sanchit, Rythem, Sum it, Samrat, Mohit, Nitin, Arshpreet, Shahnoor, Vipul, Sameer    OUR BUDDING FOOTBALLERS EXCEL  Our students stood III in the Inter Zonal ,Under-17, football tournament, organised by the Directorate of Education. The team comprised of: Lakshay Bhambri, Nikhil Puri, Harshad Marwaha, Siddharth Rajan, Aadhar Garg, Harbir Bassi, Uday Bhambri, Apoorv Bhardwaj, Aditya Singh, Gautam Vaid, Bhuvan Kapoor, Shivam Kapoor and Shobhit Daggar    OUR SPEEDY ATHLETES  The following athletes of our school were the winners at the Athletic Meet held at the Zonal level by Delhi Administration from 16 to 19 Oct. 2006:  Nishtha, Shristi, Chanvi, Chestha, Puneet and Aanchal won the silver medal in 4x100 mts. relay.  Vikas won the bronze medal in 600 mts. race.  Sashi won the Bronze medal in the 3000 and 1500 mts. race.  Dushyant Yadav won the bronze medal in the 800 mts. race.  Gurpratap, Sushant, Vinayak and Akhil bagged the bronze medal in the 4x100 mts. relay race.     Aparajita Pandey (VIII) and Karshni Kharbanda (VIII) participated in a Hindi Debate Competition held at Zonal level by Delhi Admin. on 01.09.2006. Both of them won the second prize.    Divya Rathi (XIII) and Dhananjai Kaushal (XI) also participated in a Debate Competition held at Zonal level by Delhi Admin. Zone XVII on 20.09.2006. The topic for the debate was 'Plastic - a boon for mankind'. 27 teams from various schools participated and Dhananjai was adjudged the Best Speaker (against the motion).    Our students participated in the Sanskrit Recitation Competition held at Zonal level by Delhi Admin. on 17.10.2006. Students who won the consolation prizes and a cash prize of Rs. 600/- each were: K.P. Parasuram (VIIIG), Aman Juneja (VIIIC), Karan Suri (VIIIC), Kunal Singhal (VIIID), Siddharth Aggarwal (VII F), Sanchit Jolly (VII F)    Jaskirat Singh (V) and Siddharth Pruthi (IX), participated in Hindi Recitation under Sub. Junior and Senior category respectively, held at the Zonal level by Delhi Administration on 30.08.2006. Jaskirat won the First prize while Siddharth bagged the Third prize.    The students of class I to XII participated in Brem Dutt Memorial Inter School Competitions (Cambridge Foundation School) held from 31 Aug. to 8 Sep. 2006 and won the following prizes:  Manav Prabhakar (Class I) won the First prize in the Fancy Dress Competition.  Students of class VI and VII bagged the II prize in the Qawwali Competition.  Arush Garg (Class X) received the Best Performer Award in the One Act Play.     STUDENTS EXCEL AT ZONAL COMPETITIONS It was proud moment for the school when our students won awards at the Zonal Level in various competitions. The students who brought laurels to the school are :  Kriti Aghi and Gurleen Gandhi - I Prize (Hindi Debate) Surbhi Batra - I Prize (Hindi Recitation) Ritika Kohli - III Prize (Painting Competition)   ST.MARKS' ACHIEVEMENT AT ZONALS  The students of St.Mark's Sr.Sec.Public School, Meera Bagh, participated in the Sanskrit Recitation Competition held at Zonal Level by Delhi Admin. Zone XVII on 17.10.2006. The venue was B-4 Govt. Co-educational School. The students who won the consolation prizes and a cash prize of Rs.600/-each were:-  K.P.Parasuram (VIIIG), Aman Juneja (VIIIC), Karan Suri (VIIIC). Kunal Singhal (VIIID), Siddharth Aggarwal (VIIF), Sanchit Jolly (VIIF)  Nayan Hajela, VIIID participated in the Sanskrit Recitation Competition held at Zonal Level by Delhi Admin. Zone XVII on 23.10.2006. The venue was B-4 Govt. Co-educational School. She won a consolation prize of Rs.100/-.    INTER ZONE FOLK SONG COMPETITION 17 girls of class IX emerged victorious by winning the third prize in the senior category in 'Inter Zone Folk Song Competition which was held at Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi.
