STUDENT
ATTEND VIPASSANA CAMP
A
-36 member team comprising of 33 students of class 10th and 3 teachers were
introduced to 'Vipassana'- a process of self-observation, during a 3 day meditation camp
form 13-15 April. To start with, an overview of the entire schedule was given on
the first day which included the aim and purpose of the camp. The duration of each
meditation session was gradually increased and the students soon fell into the
rhythm of observing their natural breathing to concentrate. The camp ended on a creative
note when different groups of students, guided by their teachers enacted short
plays based on the precepts of the Vipassana followers. The team came back
enriched, recharged and cleansed after a soothing experience, in a natural
setting. To continue with the process 16 girls of class X along with 2
teachers attended this camp from 10th August to 12th August where they learnt 'Aanapana'
the process of self observation.
