SCIENCE
EXHIBITION 'QUEST 2008'
'Men love to wonder and that is the seed of Science' -
Ralph
Waldo Emerson.
'Go down deep into anything and you will find Mathematics,' -
Dean Schlicter.
Science
and Mathematics go hand in hand. Hence the Science, Computer
Science and Maths departments came together and worked on more
than 155 projects in various categories from classes V to XII.
All the projects were made by students in the school itself. The
school reception was decorated beautifully and it motivated the
onlookers to think about the two current topics 'Global
Warming'
and 'Possibility
of life on the planets'.
The various venues of the exhibition highlighted different
themes like Space, The Food Pyramid, Melting of Polar Ice, Green
House, Tangrams, Trigonometry and Maths in Monuments.
Prior to the main event many preliminary activities were held.
The students and teachers were all charged up for the grand 'Maths
and Science Exhibition'.
We celebrated QUEST from 21.8.2008 to 23.8.2008 with immense
zeal and zest. The event started with 'One
Minute Experiments'
performed by the students of class VI. The budding scientists
left the judges perplexed with their simple yet mind boggling
one minute activities like moving ice cream sticks, magic with
ink drops, sticking glasses on balloons etc. The following
students emerged as winners:
