• SMS MEERA BAGH ENDS THE YEAR ON A BRIGHT NOTE
  It was a matter of great pride and honour for me to be selected in the top ten among the 300 essays written on the topic : Corruption-Your No Counts held by the reputed national daily, The Indian Express. As a result I got the opportunity to meet the former President of India, His Excellency Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on the 8th of December 2008 in the UN Conference Hall, Lodhi Estate. I also met the Director of CBI, Central Vigilance Commissioner, Deputy Director of UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) and many other top dignitaries.
  
  
  On the 23^rd of December I was invited for a tea party in the UN office, Chanakyapuri, where Ms. Ashita Mittal (Deputy Director) handed over my certificate. Later, a discussion took place about corruption in the country and the measures that can be individually taken to at least reduce it. The discussion was worthwhile and helped me broaden my own perspective. I must say that such like opportunities rarely come in one's life and I feel elated and privileged to get such a golden opportunity.
