We Host Book Week - 2008

In keeping with the tradition of developing language skills in English and inculcating the habit of reading good books, we along with Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. had organized a Book Week from 14 to 20 December 2008. The Book Week was inaugurated by Mr. T. P. Aggarwal along with Special Guest Ms. Vinita Krishnan, a well known author of children’s books. She later conducted a story telling session with students of classes I and II. The activities which followed during the week were -

Book Week being inaugurated by Mr. T. P. Aggarwal, Chairman Ms. Vinita Krishnan, Special Guest

The week ended with the Special Guest, Ms. Vaijayanti Savant Tompe, a well known author, interacting with the members of Readers’ Club. The year 2008 saw a participation of approximately 1010 students. Teachers and students browsed through books in the Book Fair organized by Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. within the school premises. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 19 December 2008. Ms. Sayoni Basu, Director, Publishing, Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. Along with the Principal gave the prizes to the winners. It was a great learning experience for everybody.
