  • St. Mark’s Best Orchestra
    The students of St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, who participated in the State Level Orchestra Competition organized by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of N.C.T. of Delhi, 01.12.2008, made the school proud by winning the first prize. They were accompanied by Mr. R. Pramanik and Mr. H. Singh.

  • ST. MARK'S GROUP SONG COMPETITION
    Singing rejuvenates the soul and St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, has always organized singing competitions to recognize the talent of budding singers. An Inter Class Group Song Competition for class III was held on 09.9.2008. Seven teams competed for two prizes. The first place was bagged by III G for 'Happy Song' and the second place was bagged by III F for their song, 'Rivers of Babylon'. The Principal Ms. A. Aggarwal appreciated the efforts of the participants as well as teachers.   
      

  • ST. MARK'S PATRIOTIC SONG COMPETITIONInter House Patriotic Song Competition
    St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh organized an Inter House Patriotic Song  Competition on 30.7.2008 in two groups i.e Group I consisted of classes I to III while classes IV and V were in Group II. Each group consisted of four teams. The performance of the students generated patriotic fervour in every one  present there. They performed very well. In Group I Nehru House won the First Prize and in Group II, Gandhi House was the winner.
       
           
        

  • ST. MARK'S ACHIEVEMENT AT ZONALSOur Young Musiccians
    It was a proud moment for the students of St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh,  who bagged the First  Prize in
    Orchestra Competition  held at Zonal Level by Delhi Admin. Zone XVII on 07.09.2007.

    The winners were:-
    Arun Sirari (IX D), Saksham Gulati (IX D), Lakshay Chawla ( IX C), Suraj Aneja (VIII C), Sarthak Khera  (VIII F), Nitin Grover ( VIII C), Kashish Grover ( VII F), Samarpit Kalra (VII F), Mridul Khatri ( VII G), Satyam Mahajan (VII F).

  • DANCING TO THE TONES OF FOLK LORE
    Proud winner of Inter School Dance CompetitIonThe Spirit of spring and harvest came alive when our budding dancers came alive to the alluring folk songs at  the Inter School Folk Dance Competition based on harvesting organized by the Hemophilia Federation of India at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Auditorium on 17.04.2007. The Chief Guest, Mr. Yoganand Shastri, Hon'ble Health Minister of Delhi, encouraged and congratulated all the students who had participated. Our students who presented a Punjabi folk dance and secured the II position making the school proud were Manmeet of class VIII and Karshni Kharbanda, Aakshi Sharma, Akshita Khurana, Aditi Joon, Aditi Rawat, Akanksha, Dilpreet, Ashish, Simran, Rupinder, Mansi, Aman, Simrat, Vipul, Mayank and Ankit of class IX.

  • PATRIOTIC FERVOUR RINGS IN THE AIR
    Patriotism was the theme for the Inter House Group Song Competition for class IV. The colorfully dressed children sang enthusiastically with love for the motherland in their hearts. There was  a variety of songs, all sung with a lot to energy and enthusiasm. All the songs highlighted love for the nation, unity in diversity and the cultural heritage of our country. It was touching to hear the little children rendering songs that instilled oneness and patriotism deep in everyone's hearts. The judgment was a Herculean task but ultimately one group had to win. So it was Shastri House who walked away with the first Prize for their song 'Lakshaye na ojhal hone paye' with Gandhi House winning the second prize for the song 'Tum Samay ki ret par'.   • SOLO SINGING COMPETITION
    To discover the singing talent among our little ones, a solo singing competition was organized for classes I and II with a difference.  Children sang a variety of songs in front of the judges. The competition was a little different this time as Rashi Khanna (XII A), Kshitij Makkar (XII D) and Divya Jain (XII C) were the judges who found it a very novel learning experience . Ms. A. Aggarwal, Principal,  Ms. R. Sethi and Ms. V. Wahi, Vice Principals were also present to encourage the children. The tiny tots sang beautifully. The students who won prizes were:-

    Kabir Singh, Mukta Anand, Pratishta Verhwani, Lush Gulati, Siddharth Aghi, Sidhi Chabbra - proud winners of Solo Singing competition with student judges Vaisali (II G) showcasing her singing talent

  • SONG COMPETITION
    St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh organized an Inter House Patriotic Song  Competition on 31.07.2007 for class IV students. All the four houses sang meaningful songs. The judges for the event were Mr. Naresh and Ms. Sehgal. They appreciated the performances and gave their expert views for the same. Shastri House won the first prize for the same. Overall, it was a successful event.
       

  • Inter house Folk Dance Competitions were held at different levels. The students presented dances of different states beautifully. In sync with the mood of the occasion, the hosts dressed up  in Maharashtrian and Kashmiri attire too adding colour and festivity.
    The Bengali dance performed by students of class I won the First Prize and in class III it was the Punjabi folk presented by students of Shastri House.
    In the Inter House Competition for the middle classes the Kalbeliya dance presented by Nehru House in class VI won hands down and the students of class VIII of the same house walked away with the First prize for their beautiful rendition of a Punjabi folk.
