Music and Dance Solo Singing

  • ST. MARK’S MEERA BAGH STUDENTS BAG ‘VISION 2009’
    Students of St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, brought laurels to the school when they bagged the Rolling Trophy at the ‘Vision 2009’ organized by Lancer’s Convent School from 28 July 2009 to 30 July 2009.

    It was an amalgamation of competitions from oratory to theatre to music. The young singers and musicians bagged the first prize leading the school to victory.


  • ECLESIA', THE SCHOOL ORCHESTRA ON A WINNING SPREE
    We started off with the Inter School Orchestra Competition. Schools falling in our Zone (West B, Zone XVII) participated in the event. Our school emerged the winner of the competition. We finally qualified for the Intra District Orchestra Competition (State Level) after winning the Intra Zonal level, that was the second round of our journey. On 1 December 2008 our school came up as the proud winners of the final competition. Nine schools participated in the Inter District level from corners of Delhi. The proud winners were:

  • St. Mark’s Best Orchestra
    The students of St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, who participated in the State Level Orchestra Competition organized by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of N.C.T. of Delhi, 01.12.2008, made the school proud by winning the first prize. They were accompanied by Mr. R. Pramanik and Mr. H. Singh.

  • SOLO SINGI9NG COMPETITION
    "Music rises in the heart and vibrates in the soul and soothes the nerves."


    uAn Inter Class Solo Singing Competition was organized on 14 September 2009 for Classes I & II. 34 students participated in this competition in which they sang melodious songs. Some of the songs sung by the students were -

    » Oh! Carol

    » Que Sera Sera!, etc.

    The Consolation Prize winners were - Sia Dua (I-E), Bryan Rose (I-G), Sparsh Pahuja (I-D) and Aarushi Rajpal (I-G) from Class I while in Class II, Ishita Saxena (II-A) won the Consolation Prize

  • SINGING COMPETITIONS
    "Sing with me, sing for the years, Sing for laughter 'n sing for the tears,"
    Singing evokes the temple of the soul and our school has always organized singing competitions to recognize the talents. But, the 'Inter-class Group Song competitions for III class, also tested the coordination, team work and presence of mind. Held on Sep. 9 in the basement, the competition was judged by Mr. Ajay and Mr. Rocky. There were seven teams competing for two prizes. The maximum number of participants per team was 16. The first place was bagged by III G for 'Happy Song' and the second place was bagged by III F for their song 'Rivers of Babylon'. Our Principal appreciated the efforts of the participants as well as their teachers. It was an enriching experience for the young budding singers.

    An Inter Class Solo Singing Competition was organized on 20.09.2008 for Classes I & II. 28 students participated in this competition in which they sung melodious songs. The winners of the competitions are as follows:-

    II Vishruti Priyanshi IC II Parth Sharma
    III Ishita Saxena  IA III Gaurang Alagh II C

    Special Prize winners were Aryan Dogra (IB), Sachmeet Kalsi (ID), Siya Bajaj (IE) Rashmeet Kaur (IIE), Jhanvi Madan (IID) and Utpreksha Solanki (IIA).

  • ST. MARK'S GROUP SONG COMPETITION
    Singing rejuvenates the soul and St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, has always organized singing competitions to recognize the talent of budding singers. An Inter Class Group Song Competition for class III was held on 09.9.2008. Seven teams competed for two prizes. The first place was bagged by III G for 'Happy Song' and the second place was bagged by III F for their song, 'Rivers of Babylon'. The Principal Ms. A. Aggarwal appreciated the efforts of the participants as well as teachers.   
      

  • ST. MARK'S PATRIOTIC SONG COMPETITIONInter House Patriotic Song Competition
    St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh organized an Inter House Patriotic Song  Competition on 30.7.2008 in two groups i.e Group I consisted of classes I to III while classes IV and V were in Group II. Each group consisted of four teams. The performance of the students generated patriotic fervour in every one  present there. They performed very well. In Group I Nehru House won the First Prize and in Group II, Gandhi House was the winner.
