-
Personal
memo page should be carefully filled in by the parent at the beginning
of the academic session. Change of residence should be notified to
the school office immediately.
-
Parents
are requested to look into the school diary daily and see that lessons
and home work assigned for the next day are done. Remarks made by
teacher/school authority should be seen and counter-signed regularly.
-
Your
child should be encouraged to cultivate habitual cleanliness in all
works.
-
Absence
of your child from class for attending social functions is discouraged
because it retards the child's progress and reduces his/her interest
in regular school work.
-
Children
should do their homework by themselves. They should not be helped
in it by parents or by tutors unless they really need it. It is important
that children develop a habit of studying and working on their own.
-
Criticism
of staff should be avoided in presence of the child because it undermines
his/her respect for the staff and the school. Should you have a legitimate
complaint, please meet the Principal/Vice Principal.
-
Giving
presents to the staff or other demonstrations of gratitude or goodwill
in their honour is not allowed.
-
Parents
are not allowed to see their children or meet the teachers during
school hours.
-
Private
tuitions are discouraged. Teachers of St. Mark's are not allowed to
take tuitions.
-
Children
who are ill should not be sent to school to attend class or take tests.
Once a pupil has come to school, he/she will not be allowed to go
home before time.
-
As
the medium of instruction is English, children should be helped to
follow their classes easily by a certain amount of regular conversation
in this language at home.
-
Please
see that your ward carries books and notebooks according to the Time
Table for that day. No extra books are allowed.
-
Encourage
your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities
and sports.
-
Your
ward should be instructed to be careful about his/her possessions.
There should be a name tag on blazers and sweaters. Expensive articles
should not be brought to school.
-
If
your ward is absent from school, he/she must make up for all the work
he/she has missed.
