Ms. Anjali Aggarwal the founder principal of SMS, Meera Bagh with a master’s in English literature was awarded the Radha Krishnan Memorial Award for service in the field of education in the year 1999 and the Avantika Saraswati Samman in the year 2001. As a Past President of the Rotary Club of Delhi Janak, she received the Outstanding President of the year Award for two consecutive years, 1994-95 & 1995-96 in the Rotary International District - 3010.

She has been declared "The Outstanding Teacher Of The Month" in May 2003 by the publishing house Macmillan India Ltd.

She also received the PTA NATIONAL AWARD by the Parent Teacher Association of India, on 07Jan 2004, for her significant contribution in the field of education

Her interests include reading, poetry, dramatics and music.
