The founder Chairman of the school Mr. T. P. Aggarwal has been working in the field of education since 1975. He has been awarded the Dr. Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teachers Award.

G.K. Quiz

‘An investment in knowledge pays the best interest ’- keeping this thought in mind, the students of IX and X of SMGS participated in an Inter House G.K. Quiz. This Quiz had various rounds that excited as well as baffled the participants. At the end of eight interesting and challenging rounds, Gandhi House was declared the proud winner of –the Quiz. This Quiz tested the general knowledge of the students as well as enriched them.

Learning by Doing - A Power Point Presentation by Class IX

In a move to make students more confident and aware, a competition of Powerpoint Presentation for class IX was conducted. Each class was divided into 8-9 groups and different topics like India and Partition, The Big Bank Theory, Cold War etc. were given. In total there were 32 groups dealing with 16 topics. The presentation was done in the school auditorium on 31st October. Such learning helps in development of Altitudes, Communication skills, Thinking skills among the students. This approach paves way for the students to excel in their academic discipline and make learning for future consequential.

The best 3 groups were selected by the judges Mrs. Anu Anand and Ms. Jeetu.

Group 3 - Kirtee Kaul, Anuradha, Niketa, Nikita Sharma Namrata and Aakarsha of class IX C dealing with the topic Formation of UN bagged the Ist prize.

The II prize was shared between two groups-
Group 23 – Gurveen Monga, Kritika, Kunika, Himani and Harleen of class IX B. Topics – Amazon
Group 28 – Tina, Shreya, Yukti and Prerna, Lavisha and Simi of class IX A. Topic – The Land of Midnight Sun.

Inter House G. K. Quiz - (September 2011)


An Inter House G. K. Quiz was held for Class I & II in their respective classes through Smart Class. The children participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The topics were taken from the various fields like vegetables, games, puzzles, famous personalities, fairy tales characters, cartoon characters etc. There were four teams representing 4 houses respectively. Each team had two participants. There were 7 rounds in all. The students enjoyed participating in the show. The winners were applauded and were given the certificates.
